Our Staff's Demands
Xylems Staff Strike
1. Wipe needs to happen immediately, and subsequent wipes need to be carried out in the promised time.
Non-NegotiableWipes need to be carried out in the time promised to players and they need to stop being lied to.
2. The Plugin Framework needs to be repaired.
NegotiableThe Door Plugin needs to be re-worked so that Admins and Senior Mods are able to deal with glitched bases and destroyed doors.
This demand is negotiable — as long as Server Managers are instated and are known to be active, they can deal with the door plugin issue.
3. New Server Managers need to be promoted right away.
Non-NegotiableAfter discussing with Frosty, Zany, Nine, Donut, Sharky, Poland, and Jake — we all concur that the ideal candidates are Zany and Nine, since Frosty is now away on a prolonged leave of absence.
New Server Managers agree to doing so on a volunteer basis without any form of compensation.
Failure to promote at least one Server Manager will result in a continued strike.
4. Moving forward, staff should no longer be promoted based on time served.
Non-NegotiableStaff moving forward should only be promoted for the time they put in and the effort they show — not just because someone above them got promoted.
Failure to comply will result in a continued strike.
5. Several staff members deserving of promotion need to be promoted.
Non-NegotiablePoland needs to be promoted immediately, due to the amount of time and effort he has put in during this gray period where it was chaos.
6. New staff need to be onboarded immediately.
NegotiableDue to Chysko's sudden departure, there is no solid way for us to review staff applications and onboard new staff. Zany has voluntarily created a comprehensive website that allows for multiple things, including an application portal for staff applications to be reviewed and processed.
New staff are needed to bridge the gap that is currently present and ensure tickets are not left entirely to one or two people, including during periods when other staff members are on leave.
This is negotiable, but we are not willing to wiggle much.
7. The xylemsguide.com site needs to be adopted immediately to replace unnecessary channels in the Main category of the Discord.
Non-NegotiableThere is a well-written rules document within the site that has been severely missing from the server's Discord for a while now, as well as many other resources that are more in-depth than what is offered in the Discord channels.
This should not be a hard change to swallow.
During this strike, staff will not be assisting with any tickets or be present on the Unturned or Discord servers, until such time as we can come to common ground with Xylem. It has happened too often where Xylem has gone missing during a critical point in the server's changes and wipes. The staff have done their very best to fulfill their volunteer duties even when left in the dark and without the proper tools to support the community that contributes to Xylem's livelihood.
